Added to the product line as part of the 2000 series in 1998, the Hobart 2712 Automatic slicer adds a carriage drive system to the basic design of the 2612, allowing automatic operation of the carriage at 2 different speeds as well as a manual mode. Additional features include: a 1/2 HP single-phase motor with a poly V-belt drive system, removeable stainless steel carriage, top mounted removeable Borazon stone sharpener, double-action indexing cam for precision, permanent mounted ring guard, a lift lever that props the machine up, allowing for cleaning underneath the slicer, and an oil reservoir for lubrication of the carriage rod.
