Berkel
The world leader in meat slicers for over 100 years, Berkel takes its name from W.A. Van Berkel, the Dutch inventor of the world’s first meat slicing machine. Berkel was founded in 1909 in Chicago under the name “US Slicing Machine Company.” In 1915 it outgrew its urban factory and moved to La Porte, Indiana, where it changed its name to “Berkel.” Today, the company is headquartered in Troy, Ohio. It continues to produce high-quality gravity feed slicers, premiere slicers, bread slicers and prosciutto slicers as well as vacuum packaging machines. Berkel products are reliable tools for meat counters, restaurants, butchers, and other commercial kitchens. Popular Models: 827A, 829E, 827, 919, 919-1, 818, 909A, 919E, 919A
