Based in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Vollrath produces stainless steel and aluminum products for the food service industry. The current line of Vollrath products includes char broilers, warmers, merchandisers, mixers, slicers, griddles, and accessories. Vollrath is also a world leader in induction cooktop technology. The firm began in 1874 as a producer of enameled cookware. As time went on, Vollrath shifted its focus from iron to aluminum and stainless steel. During World War II, the company was a major supplier of canteens, tableware, trays, and other products for the US Military. In recent years, Vollrath has grown by acquiring other manufacturers, making it a global leader in the food service industry.
