Excellent as a stand-alone item, it emits gentle warmth and a radiant glow that illuminates any outdoor setting. The unit creates great natural light and beautiful ambiance from its shimmering tempered glass flame tube, and up to 11,000 BTUs of gentle heat output for up to 6 hours on only a 1 lb. propane bottle (not included) that fits snugly out of view in its base. Steel and aluminum single-frame construction mean no assembly is required. The fully adjustable flame ignites with the “Easy Start” electronic push-button igniter. As with all Lava Heat Italia units, the Safe-Tilt Switch shuts off the Lava Heat Italia Table Top Flame Patio Heater automatically if its vertical position is compromised. The single-piece protective steel grills around the flame compartment stay cool to the touch and ensure a safe distance between you and the flame. While the unit’s tempered glass tube is not water resistant, the model is easy to move away from the elements even while operating. This model was designed to serve as an aesthetic piece for ambiance and illumination while providing a low level of heat (1-2 foot radius).
